Please dont mind my total lack of knowledge regarding the French Language - hopefully you can help me with a little question we have been wracking our brains over?

Can we install Weather on a Postnuke site twice so we can get two blocks showing the weather from two different sites at the same time?? I run a skydiving site at http://www.teammantis.org and they are asking for the weather from two different drop zones. Anything you can do to shed some light on this would be very much appreciated

    Thanks!

    hello,
it is not possible to install 2 instances of the weather module. But you don't need to !! With just one instance of the module you can have as many blocks as you want (well not quite so because as for each block the module have to fetch the data so page loading time increase with each block, but as data are cached for the amont of time you enter in the module administration, I was able to run 8 blocks on a page). When you create each block you will have to enter manualy the code for the city as for the moment it is not possible to choose it in a drop down menu
    So :
look for the codes for the 2 cities you are interested in (either on weather.com or MSBC and looking at the url city codes are 4 letters and 4 digits long).
Then create 2 blocks and place them where you want on your page, give the code for each city and choose if you want to display forecast details or not.
You need at least version 1.31 of the weather module to be able to do that and if you had installed previous versions of the weather module, be sure to delete any old file in modules/weather/pnblocks because blocks in older versions don't permit to choose the city code.
If you have any trouble, don't hesitate to ask.
Just to show you it's working I have created a second block with Paris'weather on this site. When visitors click on the city name ot the weather icon the detailed weather is displayed for that city.
In future versions weather blocks will even display faster because entire block content will be cached, but it will need pnRender (either PostNuke .726 + XTE or .750)
