I completely uninstalled Weather 1.31 and removed all the MySQL tables for it. Then I removed all the old 1.31 files. Then I uploaded the entire 1.32 installation, initialized it and activated it with no problems.

I then went to configure 1.32 and add city files. I chose to install ALL city files. I got a blank screen. So I went back and it had only installed up to Botswana before it choked.

Any idea what's up? I am running PN 0.726 with XTERC5 installed.

P.S. I just checked and it will let me install the additional city files individually, but that would take forever.

I only managed to install all cities on a dedicated computer or on a shared quadri-pentium xeon !! because to read all the files and create the records for more than 16000 cities the scipt need a lot of time. But it is do-able and I did it just to verify there wasn't any incompatibilities between all the country files. I must warn you that after installing all the cities the module is rather slow if you don't have a powerfull server and choosing a city is not very simple because of the very long menus lists.
In any case if it install countries only up to Botswana your server is rather slow or you are on a rather crowded shared server !!
The only solution would be to modify the php code to let admin choose several countries in the list. I will see if this is possible with not too much work.

I had exactly the same symptom - including choking at Botswana. Unless we are using exactly the same hosting service (GoDaddy), I would be a little suspicious of other things going wrong. I'm having other problems (see other post) that I thought might be related but doesn't seem to be the case here.

I repeat my warning : don't try to install all cities on a shared server because it is more than likely that your hosting service has put a timout limit for php scripts and the script will not have enought time to finsh reading nearly 200 files and creating more than 16000 records !!
I have no explanation on the fact that for both of you it stoped on botswana but as I said I DID verified on a dedicated computer (penthium 4 2.4GHz) and on a shared server (quadri pentium xeon) that it is possible to install all cities so there is nothing wrong with this file, and you can clearly see that all files are corrects if you have enought time to add them one by one !! so this is only a problem of execution time for the php scrips
You will also see if you do it, that choosing a contry in a very long menu list is not very convenient.
