I have installed weather 1.40 and have "initialised" and "activated" the module.

I just installed the Malaysia package.

Anyway.. when trying to view Current Settings.. message says No default location was chosen..

So I click on Change default local weather..

Added:-
Region: Asia
Coutry: Malaysia
Subdivision: Malaysia
City: Kuala Lumpur
Tem: Celsius
Wind: km/h

Clicked on Save Changes Button....

The page takes me to the same "Change defualt local weather" page with nothing selected.

BTW, when I try to add a "Location" first, the same problem

Could it be I have to change some directory of file permissions?. Please help.

BTW, I seem to have installed all cities without error and as a User, I can change to any cities I like, via My Account/Modify Weather Settings or via the 5 day forcast.

However I still can't change the default local weather.

Please as weather 1.40 is still unreleased I would prefer that you use mail to vedrine _AT_ vedrine _DOT_ net for support during the beta test phase not to confuse users of weather 1.34 reading this forums. Thanks.
There is no need to change file permissions because the module desn't write any file, it only read files from the data subdirectory.
Maybe the doc is unclear but you should NOT use the "add location" link wich is for very special cases.
I will look at the code to see what is happening.
If your website is online, it would help me if you can mail me the address.
To all people reading this forum, please note this thread is about to not yet released weather 1.40 module, so don't try to apply the advices given here to previous versions of the weather module

I have found the problem, there are some bugs in pninit.php.
Note to otther beta-testers, only people installing directly 1.40 beta1 are affected by this problem, if you upgrade from 1.34, no problem.
I will send a new pninit.php to all beta-testers very soon.

To weather 1.40 beta-testers reading this thread.
You can correct the problem yourself if you have already installed the 1.40 version and if you don't want to wait for the corrected pninit.php file and be forced to uninstall, re-install the module.
With phpmyadmin
look at the _wthr_user table the uid field should NOT be auto_increment, correct if necessary
NOTE: as I already said only beta-testers installing directly 1.40 beta version are subject to this bug. Testers upgrading from a previous version don't need to do anything because they are not subject to this bug.
