I chose to use the weaher channel for my weather data source. In the block the weather channel logo appears. When looking at the detailed weather screen the MSN branding appears. SAlso when looking at the detailed weather screen there is a link that reads view forecast. Seems redundant considering that it takes you right back to the same screen.

you are right, there is a problem with the block : the weather channel logo is displayed whatever method you choose so it's a bug !!
But for the detailed forecast display, normaly there is no bug : the module display the right logo : MSNBC if you checked method 1 and weather.com if you choose method 2. please can you go to the module admin panel, click on the "Method for gathering data" link and verify that "XML feed from The Weather Channel" is checked. If the answer is yes yes I don't understand why the right logo is not displayed.
For the "view forecast" menu, I left it as it was put by the developper before me because as the registered users have also a "Change setting" menu it seems logic to have a menu to return to forecast display.
Anyway the good solution is to use templates as I'm planning to do, so that each site can easily costomize the display.

Thank you for your reply. I checked the control panel and was surprised to find that weather channel was not checked. Even though I had checked it when I entered the authentication info. When I go to the detailed weather menu I now get the correct logo.

One question. Can each individual user set thier own locations?

Yes of course, Each registered user has an icon in the user.php page to change his/her prefs for weather forecast (city and units) They are saved in the database and when they return to the site the display of the block and module is modified to follow their prefs.
So default city and units are used only for
- unregistered visitors
- registered visitors that hasn't set any prefs
What I want now to do is code another block where the webmaster can set the city when he create the block so that you can have several city forecast displayed on the same website by running multiple instances of that block (for the moment if you create multiple instances of the "weather" block they all display the weather for the default/user city)
But I need a little time to do that.
