Hello,
Here is what I did:
- I downloaded the file from this site (to be sure to use exactly the same version as you)
- I unzipped it, opened it, opened the ProdReviews042 folder and copied the ProdReviews subfolder in the modules folder of my .761 test website
- I went to Administration, System tab -> Modules
- I regenerated, then initialized, then activated ProdReviews
- I had no problem going to the module's administration panel
So we are left with the folowing hypothesis:
- a defective lang file: blank pages are very common when you have a lang file with anything after the final ?>, even a linebreak can be enought to produce the blank page syndrom !!
- a badly installed module: a lot of people put the ProdReviews042 folder in their module folder, PostNuke dopn't warn them, find no file, say Module initialized, Module activated but nothing is working. The next postnuke version will include a warning each time it is unable to find a version.php or pnversion.php file in the Module directory. To be sure you aren't in that case, open your modules directory, you should see a ProdReviews directory, open that directory, you should see docs, pnblocks, pnimages, pnlang subdirectories and files pnadmin.php, pnadminapi.php, ... If this is not the case, go to Administration -> System tab -> Modules, deactivate ProdReviews, remove it, and after that only correct the directory problem, then reinstall the module (if you correct the directory problem without first deinstalling the badly installed module you will have a lot of problems) -

Hi - yoalpster here. I tried to get prodreviews to work in 761, and I decided to upgrade to 762. I reinstalled prodreviews exactly like the instructions told me to, but there's no index.php. the admin works on it, butthere's no page to call to look at. I left a big post on postnuke.com as well. I'm currently running 762 and a fresh install of prodreviews from your site. please help :D Thanks. -

I think you are confused by the included instructions (thse instructions were not updated for recent PostNuke versions)
If the admin side of the module is working then the module is prperly installed.
Try to go to http://your_website_address/index.php?module=ProdReviews and you should see the module's main page.
If you want to include the module in your main menu, the link is {ProdReviews} as stated in the docs (Warning it is NOT [ProdReviews] because ProdReviews is a new style module !
If your site is online can you give me the url so that I can check if everything is OK ? -

Ok - I put in the url http://www.lifefrombeyond.com/lfbsite/index.php?module=ProdReviews and I get a white screen. If I leave the "lfbsite" folder out of it like you suggested...
http://www.lifefrombeyond.com/index.php?module=ProdReviews then i get a white screen stating "No input file specified." now all my php is in the lfbsite folder, so why am I leaving it off when typing in the URL? And, it's asking for index.php? inside of prodreviews. That file doesn't exist. it does in the reviews section, and other modules, but not this one. why? it cant' find index.php because there is none that I know of. I could even create you an admin login if you can help me out.
My main site is at http://www.lifefrombeyond.com/lfbsite/. Thanks again for your help.
PS - I did the includes properly, with the { } instead of the [ ]. I also added 1 review, but the admin page states "You can delete/modify reviews by browsing reviews" - reviews is this link: http://www.lifefrombeyond.com/lfbsite/index.php?module=ProdReviews - the lfbsite must be there for it to work properly. I'm not using short urls at all.
Do me a favor and look in your folder of prodreviews - is there an index.php? my prodreviews folder has no index.php in its root.
Thanks again for any help. Like I said, everything else works but this module.

When I said "your_website_address" this include the "lfbsite" subdirectory all your files are in.
So the right address is:
http://www.lifefrombeyond.com/lfbsite/index.php?module=ProdReviews
There are 2 kind of modules:
- "Old style modules" have an index.php and an admin.php (unless they have no admin side) and are using url like index.php?name=... or modules.php?name=...
- "New style modules" have a pnuser.php and a pnadmin.php file and they don't need an index.php AT ALL ! they use urls like index.php?module=...
So as Prodreviews is a new style module it is quite normal that it don't have an index.php file and this is not the problem causing the blank page.
I may be wrong but I think your problem is caused by an incorrect file in my package:
all file must absolutely end with ?> with nothing after the closing >, absolutely nothing not even a linefeed
This must be the problem.
I will review all files and after some tests put a new package on Downloads.
I will keep you informed by putting a new message in that thread. -

Thanks again so much for your help and a new release of ProdReviews .43 for the masses who needeed this mofo for .7.6.1 & .7.6.2. Nice fish, by the way! I can't say thanks enough.
