  a user has posted this as a comment in the phpcomic module. Of course this is not a good place to ask for support !!
  tried to install the module. Everything if fine in the admin section, but then when I try to launch the module from the user end, I get the message-> Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in c:\phpdev\www\go\modules\phpcomic\class.phpComic.php on line 195
  
  I think you have a problem with the directory to store temporary comics images.
  - did you create a subdirectory of your pnTemp directory named phpcomic ?
  - did you chmod this directory to 777
  - Go to Administration -> phpcomic and click on Modify phpcomic configuration
  the "Cache directory (relative to pnTemp) should have phpcomic as value
